INTRODUCTION
Her talent could have been discovered earlier if she had visited the art academy after high school. Apparently she was not ready for it, yet her urge to paint was indomitable. Regarding her style one can say that her personal style of painting has enjoyed a loyal and enthusiastic following due to her individual and unique approach to the form, giving her the strength to produce pieces of art. As the artist comments, her paintings are born, not made. At the beginning it is not clear what the end will be.
Animals are an important subject of her work varying from cats to cows. The emphasis on the eyes is typical of her approach to such subjects. Looking at her paintings this becomes very clear. In her works of art the eye contact is essential, whether it is between the animails or the viewers. All this in full primary colours.
Janet received drawing and painting education with many artists. In 2006 she studied at the Art Academy in Enschede, Holland. Her work is still developing.
After the careful re-start as an artist her talents were recognized and appreciated. She won art prizes and her work is sold both at home and abroad. It has become very obvious: Janet is a representative of original, colourful and cheerful art. Admirers recognize these special characteristics: the artist loves her subjects … and painting.
